A transponder is a small transmitter apparatus with a unique code to be positioned on the vehicle (motorcycles, cars, go-kart, etc.) that is to be identified. Thanks to this the timing system is able to detect, and identify, the vehicle when the latter passes through the detection antenna called a detection loop which is connected to a receiving system. myWER transponders are designed to accept different types of accessories to facilitate their use.
A modular myWER timing system is a solution that can satisfy any kind of installation. Its unique characteristic is that of being totally immune to radio interference. Furthermore, through the use of digital cable, the detection loop (antenna) can be within several hundred meters from the timekeeping room. In practice, the detection antenna, located under the finish line, is connected directly to the reader that reaches the time-keeping work station, via a data transmission cable, which can be at a distance of up to 350 meters (without signal repeater or additional power supply). An decoder then serves to connect the PC to the digital cable. The system is suitable for use on asphalt, dirt, ice or snow tracks. A integrated myWER timing system represents the simplest and most economical solution and is suitable for almost all types of installation. This system requires that the detection antenna, located under the finish line, reaches the timing station up to 75 meters away via a coaxial cable. An integrated decoder, connected to the coaxial cable, distributes the signal to the personal computer. The system is suitable for use on asphalt, dirt, ice or snow tracks. A typical basic model integrated system, supplied with one detection loop, is represented in miniature on the left.
A multifunctional wireless driver display is an innovative and useful instrument that works in combination with a transponder of any make and model, also different from myWER (subject to timing software compatibility); a special application to be installed on a PC provides, in real time, the transmission of the driver display wireless and numerous other information relating to the session (position, number of laps, detachment from the leader and detachment from the previous one), emergency signals / flags and standard text messages. A radio transmitter to be connected to the PC completes the system. The high range of the transmitter makes the system extremely functional and easy to install.
Lap Timer is an independent instrument that does not require a transponder. Lap Timer only works on tracks with a magnetic strip or active antenna; when the sensor passes over the band, or to the active antenna, it provides the start / stop impulse to the Lap Timer.
